There was an interesting article recently in the September 2009 issue of Plastic Surgery News by Jim Leonardo. Apparently a group of 23 women from China made a trek to South Korea to receive plastic surgery. All of the women, ranging in age from 23 to 54, wore big hats and sunglasses and some still hand bandages and sutures on their return trip home. The border officials in China became suspicious and didn’t accept their passports. “We saw them looking different and with bandages and stiches here and there” an airpot official said. “We had to compare their uncorrected parts with their photos very carefully.” Eventuallly, after detaining the women for several hours until each ones identity could be verified, they were released and asked to renew their passports immediately.
Luckily here at Murphy Plastic Surgery we are affiliated with the Monarch Retreat located in Cherry Creek North in Denver, where you can rest and recuperate after surgery and not have to deal with questioning airline officials!
